Amrit, a multifaceted creative entrepreneur, is a host, DJ, and strategic consultant who splits her time between Los Angeles and New York City. From executing and overseeing global talent strategic direction to international sound design, she combines her decade-plus of experience with her cultural perspective as a South Asian woman growing up in a predominantly white Australia. This has led her to consistently and proudly challenge the lack of representation in the entertainment industry and beyond. The driving force across all of Amrit’s creative projects—to advocate for underrepresented voices and create inclusive spaces in pop culture—has seen her gain global recognition and established her as an authority of what’s next across fashion, music, and cultural landscapes.
Most recently, Amrit launched Unhinged — a podcast featuring guests from Amrit’s wide network of like-minded creatives, tastemakers, public figures, and experts, her weekly episodes facilitate candid conversations that have one unifying purpose: to promote personal empowerment while elevating underrepresented perspectives in a judgement-free, safe space. Currently a self-produced audio podcast on all streaming platforms, Unhinged was formerly available on the NTWRK app and IGTV, reaching 6M+ viewers. Inspired by the power of human connection and our ability to enact change, Amrit’s passionate and empathetic nature is reflected in her impact and sustainability-driven non-profit projects: Structure (a sustainable housing solution to climate migration, in partnership with Better Shelter, The Ikea Foundation and UNHCR) and Feed The Streets (LA & NYC organization that meets the needs of our unhoused communities) As a founding member and Director of Partnerships for both organizations, her commitment to mission driven work and inclusivity for all is evident.
Amrit’s love for and commitment to music has led her to sell out tours throughout the US, Canada, Europe, Asia, and Australia. She has opened for the likes of Lauryn Hill, Jorja Smith and Dua Lipa, as well as performed DJ sets for Dior, Vogue, Coachella, Marc Jacobs, Nike, Swarovski, HBO, Veuve Clicquot, Cannes Film Festival, The Guggenheim Museum, & The Museum of Modern Art.
